Since Marisol didn't work out for me, I am rethinking my entire wishlist. I was planning on turning Marisol into a Josefina and buying most of Josefina's stuff. Well, that won't happen anymore. I am still planning on getting Josefina's birthday dishes/treats, her canteen and her table and chairs but I won't be getting any Josefina outfits or bed stuff.
So now I am concentrating on Felicity stuff instead. I really love the bed, table/chairs, party treats and Windsor chair desk. But I am not so sure about getting the Chocolate Set and Tea Lesson. Do any of you have these 2 items? Do you like them? Are there any negatives on getting these items? I know Nicole would not be able to use them since they look so fragile so they would be for display only.

I didn't really like the chocolate set. I love the glass tiered serving plates that come with the "Treats" but in the chocolate set, the plates don't really match the teacups and I think the cups are too small to be in scale for the dolls. The silver pot also tarnishes and shows fingerprints. I don't have the Tea Lesson. Just one person's opinion, of course.
I had the chocolate set, and I thought it was fantastic. It's very beautiful.
I have the Tea Lesson, and it is really sweet, too. I wouldn't hesitate buying either one! They're worth it!

I think they are very fine and beautiful. I can see that the cups look a bit small, but as a collector of real antique glassware, cups were a lot smaller in the past. People didn't have the huge appetites that we do now, so I consider the cups historically accurate with their smaller size. I also like that they don't match the plates exactly. They coordinate with the plates in a beautiful way.
I have the tea lesson, i would DEFINETLY buy another one! wow its so precious! i love it! the queen cake is darling, and the cup and saucer is precious! hope this helps
I have both and love both. The plates from the chocolate set are absolutely beautiful to me, and although the cups are small they remind me of the antique teacups I have that are also very small (for people). My teapot is actual silver so it does tarnish and has to be shined, but I like that- I'd rather have real silver.
The tea lesson is darling and very high quality IMO. The tea box is so cute, tea cake looks real, and cup and saucer are lovely. I'm hoping they make a whole tea set in that pattern for Elizabeth's debut- I'd snap it up!
Must add, both of mine are from around 1993, so I'm not sure if anything changed since then.
The chocolate set is not my favorite Felicity item. I'm glad I have it, but if I were forced to part with it, I probably would not miss it.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It isn't much fun to play with. LOL. Mostly, I just like every other Felicity thing better. I didn't get it until I had gotten evey other Felicity thing except the furniture, and had nothing else to collect. I often think that maybe I should have gotten Felicity's desk instead. It doesn't cost much more than the chocolate set, and I would probably actually use it. My chocolate set just sits in a box on the shelf and never come out. If I was more into displaying my dolls, rather than playing with them, I might get better use out of the set. However, we *really* play with our dolls. I just don't want to be worried about breaking the expensive chocolate set plates when I'm playing. The collector in me is glad I have it, but the kid in me would rather have other things.Originally posted by lynet44:

I have the tea lesson and it is very high quality. I think it is a bit delicate for a young child. I don't plan on getting it out for my daughter till she is around age 8. But it is is a really nice piece. All the dishes and cups for the dolls seem pretty expensive.
